The Narrow Road Bike Shop officially opened October 2016 with its first shipment of ~400 donated bikes from Bicycles for Humanity Colorado. With the help of Perkins Motor Plex, they converted the shipping container into the actual storefront in Nyangwena, Chongwe, Zambia, about an hour drive from the capital city of Lusaka. It is a bike sales and repair shop that is run by three Zambian bike technicians (Charles, Justin, Alex) who were also trained through Bicycles for Humanity Colorado.

The Narrow Road Bike Shop is a business initiative of Every Orphan's Hope, an orphan ministry in Zambia that builds new widow-headed families to restore orphans to reach their full potential in Christ (everyorphan.org).

The bike shop received its second shipment of ~400 donated bikes from Bicycles for Humanity Colorado in October 2017 and its third shipment in September 2018. The bike shop has been extremely successful and has sold its bikes ahead of schedule each year so far. They have gained the most traction from word-of-mouth promotion and have even serviced customers from as far away as Malawi! Since the bike shop opened, people's lives in the community have greatly improved – those who once walked 4 hours to get to their destinations can now cycle there in just 1.5 hours!

Charles Zulu II is the manager of the bike shop. He is one of the older students who grew up in the Every Orphan's Hope family homes and now lives on his own in Chongwe near the bike shop.
